In 2010, I successfully completed the “Strategic Communications Course” held in Canberra, Australia.
The Australian Government, in their invitation, had a letter “s” at the end of the word “Communications”.
The word with an “s” refers to technology systems (a J6 term); and the one without an “s” is about creation of meaning, the development of ideas, and how messages are received and interpreted (a J5 term). Confused, J8 (Training) offered the foreign schooling to me.
The course must not be then for signal officers, like me; but for the staff members of the civil/military operations (CMO) … dealing on psyops.
Perhaps, the mistake is the reason why I learned to write better and be able to express myself well … haha
Thank you Australia!
