REY: Hi! My name is Rey, I am Bianca’s dad. Friends of the couple can call me: Tito Rey. Beside me is my wife, your Tita Blue. Thomas and Bianca got married on April-2, last year and it is now time to celebrate! In behalf of the groom’s parents: Meng (pause) and Robin, who’s spirit and presence is felt with us today; let Blue and I welcome everyone and those who took the time to fly as far as Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, and the U.S.

The bride’s parents job on the program says to give a Welcome Toast; but we deem it proper to acknowledge you one by one. So, please stand up or raise your hands as we mention your name…

REY & BLUE (together): Let us first introduce the mother of the groom MENG, we can find her at table#2; and at table#3, meet the bride’s complete family members: her Kuya RED and lifetime-partner LUIGI; Kuya KEVIN with wife JEKKA and children KLAIRE and KALVIN. They came from Manila and Jekka’s visa was approved only, at the very last minute! Thanks God, they made it . . .

Now, let me introduce Thomas’ relatives and family friends, at table#2: JOAN, BOB, PATRICK, SEOW-LING, ENG, MING, AUDREY, CECILIA, JUSTINE, GUMA, husband and wife: PAUL and PACKY with their daughters TALEAH and MYA.; Thomas childhood friends and schoolmates: SHERILYN, BRITTNI, KELSEY, SAM (he is Thomas’ Bestman and classmate since preschool) with partner PENELOPE, and the parents of his two bestmen: MARK M. and SUE.

From Blue’s family side, at table#3: there is ANNA, from Switzerland; then the group from U.S.: Anna’s mother, GRANDMA CRIS, with her son Raymond, and grandchildren MIKI and SYDNEY; grand nephews: PJ and PATRICK with partner RACHEL; grand nieces: ALEXIA and NICOLE with partner ATTY. ERVIE; and Blue’s niece: (at table#4) MARIONN with partner JOHNNY.

#2) Share Heart-Warming Stories from Bride’s Childhood:

REY: About the bride, my daughter, I find Bianca to be a determined, independent, and possibly quite stubborn person (where, we have to agree with her plans). She possesses common sense and great wit, and she comes across in a straightforward manner. As practical and logical as she can be, she is also very intuitive and attuned to the beauty of nature and creative in spending time!

Blue and I are very happy that Bianca found the love of her life, in Thomas. Also, that her Childhood friends from Assumption are here to share this special moment…

#3) Talk About Your Son-In-Law:

About my son-in-law, Thomas, he is charismatic, warm, very articulate, and extremely intuitive. He loves to make people laugh, and comes across as fun and charming. He has a strong sense of responsibility. His sense of fun always comes shining through. He likes to stay informed and on top of things. Ask him anything about apple products, movies, and celebrities. When he is not “in the know”, he is a lot less confident. Learning about anything and everything is his life-long hobby.

He is family from the day Bianca introduced him to us in 2013: a brother to Red, Luigi, Kevin and Jekka; and an uncle to Klaire and Kalvin. Whenever, Blue and I don’t understand anything in Avenger movies, we do not need to Google but instead we just ask Thomas – then, you’ll hear Blue saying, Right Thomas?

#4) Add A Story Common for both the Couple:

So when these two people tie the knot and soon to produce an offspring, we should be expecting a mixture of their personalities; but we still have to wait for a long long time…they still want to travel and visit places! But my wife, Blue, keeps on telling them: have a baby now and leave the baby with me, whenever you feel traveling…

#5) Add A Few Words About Groom’s Parents:

Blue and I thank MENG, for sharing this big day; and us officially becoming part of her family. Congratulations to you, Meng and Robin on the fine job you did in raising your son, Thomas; and on the other hand, how happy, Blue and I, to welcome your side to our family…

#6) Talk About Your Own Love Story With Bride’s Mother:

Not like Thomas and Bianca whose relationship before marriage was long – my wife and I had a whirlwind romance. A case of love at first sight, on a young sexy lady in a polka-dot dress. I love her as much, today, as I saw her for the first time, 38 years ago. I thank her for her part in raising our children. They all became pride & joy for us, as parents. Bianca became the beautiful woman – she is today. She is like her mom, a choreographer, who plans and arranges the sequence of steps in every minutest detail.

So, life for us, Thomas, is very comfortable and smooth sailing!

#7) Finish With a Toast:

At this juncture, please all stand up and join us in a toast for Thomas and Bianca [Please get your glasses].

BLUE: “Thomas, you have become like a son to us, and we are entrusting to you – our baby girl. Cherish every moment you have together.” [Pause]
